Since I have started with some posts of demise of Michael Jackson, I feel that I should update some information about controversies in his alleged reversion to Islam.
Most of the Muslim youth who loved Michael, hope and wish their beloved Pop Star to be a Muslim and die as a believer . But as I pointed out in my previous post, that will be only for Michael to be pardoned and forgiven by Allah SWT or rewarded according to his deeds.
There will be more rumors expected to be read over www, to test and shake the faith of Muslim youths relating to this current events. At the same time, there are enormous lessons for those who are ready to reflect in this tragic death of the Pop Star.
It is very clear that all of us have equal chance of choice that is, to believe or not to believe in Allah.There are ample of signs to reflects the existence of Allah, for all of us who are sincere in seeking the TRUTH..
I was born in other part of the world as a minority Muslim, but when I saw Jermaine Jackson shed tears, when mentioning Allah SWT, I could understand his inner sense as, we believe in the same faith, Islam.
There are no boundaries for the believing people of Islam, which is Universal Religion for all mankind.
I am a person who stick to the principle that the status of Islam is nothing to do with conversion of Celebrities.Islam is the religion of Allah. Allah will protect his religion. A knowledgeable person should be able to differentiate between the faith and the conduct of groups of people who called themselves Muslims.
At the same time , I am also a person who always seek the truth.
When there were rumors spreading that Michael Jackson has converted into Islam a few months ago, I did not pay much attention. I stood by my principle.
But when I have heard the news of his demise, and when I noticed that most major news stations seems to ignore to report about his faith, than I could not stop thinking that is an act of intentional omission !
I am fully aware of the fact that the faith of a person is a matter between him and Allah.At the same time the act of downplaying his religious faith while digging all his biography from A to Z is unfair to Micheal Jackson and the people who loved him.

A few days ago, I have searched in Internet about Michael Jackson’s alleged reversion into Islam. There were few links about his faith that turned into Islam by the help of two Canadian Muslims, who are also from the Entertainment Business.
Afterward, I have decided not to write a post about his faith as I am not so sure about his reversion.The matter is private between him and Allah SWT.
This morning I woke up with the news of his demise.I am not Micheal’s fan, but somehow sympathize him for so much of controversial stories pop up here and there together with waning popularity in recent years.
Undeniable fact is he has an electrifying voice with creativity. Pop music is not my taste but still able to listen some of his lyrics, such as “Keep the faith” and ” We are the world”.
When I turned on BBC News, I found his brother Jermaine Jackson, requesting to respect the privacy of his family during this tragic time. I have noted he used the word “Allah “ in this short interview.
To me Michael Jackson, like all other human, has just started his eternal journey. If he dies as a Muslim, we should thanks to Allah, for allowing him to start the journey, exactly as when he was born, a Muslim.
Jermaine Jackson’s interview is interesting for those readers who wish to know more about reversion to Islam and the faith of Jackson family.
Muslims are often asked by the non Muslim friends regarding why they are forbidden to eat pork. Until last few years, most of the answers base on the the scientific findings were, from the growth hormone to parasite in the flesh of swine.
But all of us failed to understand the magnitude of the problem of keeping swine population, for the food industry until recent H1N1 or Swine Flu outbreak.
Some ignorant people will still argue that eating pork will not cause “Swine Flu”. But scientists insisted, that they will be still calling H1N1 as Swine Flu. Because the swine is the ideal cooking pot to combine human flu virus and bird flu virus, to transform into swine flu virus.
Allah SWT says in Surah 5:3,
“Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maytatah (the dead animals – cattle-beast not slaughtered),
blood,
the flesh of swine,
and the meat of that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh, or has been slaughtered for idols, etc.,
or on which Allâh’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering,
and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns –
and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal – unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on AnNusub (stone altars).
(Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision, (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allâh and sin).
This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me.
This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion.
But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allâh is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Ma’idah 5:3)”
Above Ayat from Surah Maidah clearly tells all of us, not to eat the flesh of swine. Before warning about flesh of the swine, Allah SWT prohibits Muslims from eating blood of animals in any form.(Eating fried blood clots, drinking blood of animals for the purpose of special energy boost, or benefit to manhood, ect)
The Ayat started with prohibition of eating the dead animals.
Blood of animals and human are the good source of infection as all bacteria, virus and parasites grow and multiply in the blood stream, by the process known as septicemia.
If someone eats the dead animal that died of septicemia will be in great danger of having infection from the animal. Later it will spread to others.
Swine flesh is prohibited , not only to the Muslims but also to the Christians and Jews in their scriptures.
For the Muslims, they simply implement the rules ofHalal (allowed) and Hram (prohibition)into their daily life, according to the clear guidelines in the Holy Quran.
Muslims do not eat pork because they follow exactly what Holy Quran says.
It is not for the Muslims to be surprised when the same teachings are found in other Holy Scriptures, as original source is from the Creator, Allah S.W.T.
Only problem with the other scriptures is that they are no more authentic as when they were revealed through Prophet Musa (Moses) (PBUH) and Esa(Jesus) (PBUH).
And another great problem is those who are proudly saying that they are people of the book, have failed to implement the true teaching of ONLY ONE CREATOR,into their daily lives.
And Allah says,
“I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion.”
Holy Quran, which was revealed through our beloved Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), 1400 years ago, is relevant to all mankind until the Day of Resurrection, as Allah already told us that “He has perfected His religion”.
The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alayhi wa sallam informed us in a very famous tradition, commonly quoted with reference to halal and haram, about the importance of the heart. He said :
“There is in the body a clump of flesh – if it becomes good, the whole body becomes good and if it becomes bad, the whole body becomes bad. And indeed it is the heart.”
[The hadith in full:- Bukhary, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 49: Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.]
He said that after explaining that the halal is clear and that the haram is clear and that between them are obscure areas, not known to most people. However, what protects a person from the haram and ensures that he remains in the halal is knowledge; but beyond knowledge, it is the state of the heart. If the heart is good, then it makes use of the knowledge and it avoids what is prohibited. If the heart is bad, then the knowledge is of no benefit to it and it will indulge in what is prohibited.
The Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa sallam, on the last pilgrimage, informed his Companions and the nations of Muslims to come, that there is no favour or no special place of the Arab over the non-Arab; nor is there any favour or special position of White over Black, but that favour in the sight of Allah, is with those who fear Him, those who have taqwah. After bearing witness to that, he said that “Taqwah is in the heart.”
In these statements and other similar statements, we find stress being placed on the heart – that the heart is the part of the body, which Allah has favoured over all other parts. It is the place of imaan. Had there been in the body another part that were nearer to Allah, taqwah would have been placed there because imaan is the most valuable thing that a human being can have.There is nothing more valuable. It is the determination ultimately of those who have belief in Allah – those who have accepted the message and who have chosen Paradise over Hell. (1) The first Burmese Quran translation was published in 1912. Haji U Kaalu translated it from Urdu translation of Mirza Hairat.
(2) The second Burmese Quran translation was published in 1962. Thiripyanchi U Ba Sein translated from Marmaduke Pickthal’s English Translation.
(3) The third Burmese Quran translation was published in three volumes starting from 1977 until 1980. It was direct translation work by the Holy Quran translation board of Burma. The chief translators were the late Muffasirul Quran Allamah Ghazi Muhammed Hashim and late Maulana Maqsud Ahmad Khan.
All of us should not forget to Dua for those people who brought the Arabic Quran into Burmese language, as they have used their best efforts and time for the Burmese Muslims to read and understand the teaching of Al Quran.

I was amazed to read the following science news at BBC web site. Quantum physicists are trying to prove the existence of the Creator by their calculation.
Some of the Scientists became the believers (of Creation) while quite a number them decided not to believe.
That reminds me the philosophy; “The knowledge and ignorance grows together”.
It is interesting to read the comments at above news site in BBC. Some are comments of the supporters of atheism and some are of the supporters of the Creation.
Quantum Physics, if I am not mistaken was founded by Albert Enstein. Enstain started Quantum Physics when Newton’s law of physics failed to explain the nature of the light.Sometimes the Light behave as a wave and sometime as particles. Then they found the particles called photons, which behaves like both particles and wave.
Quantum physics successfully solved the most of the problem that were unable to explain by the law of Newtonian Physics.
BBC put the Quantum Physics in this way,
“Quantum physics is a hugely successful theory: the predictions it makes about the behavior of subatomic particles are extraordinarily accurate. And yet, it raises profound puzzles about reality that remain as yet to be understood.”

Scientists seems to be expecting to understand the nature of the spiritual nature such as ” Faith, Love, Hate, ” to be explained by Quantum Physics!

According to the explanation that is simple and easy to understand by all of us there are at least 10 known dimensions. But our feelings such as , faith, love, are not in these dimensions. Or at least scientists failed to find out the most powerful source of War and Peace on this earth, ” Love and Hatred” belongs to which group of dimension.
As a Christian I would agree with John Polkinghorne. Science just reveals how awesome the world is, a world which God created and designed. It is ironic that many scientists try and disprove God but in many instances only demonstrate just how complex and wonderful the world is. There had to be an author of creation. That is the exact word that I would like to say. Whether we look into the sky for Cosmology or we look into our body for Anatomy and Physiology, or observe the Planet Earth, the more we explore the more we will find the wonder of Creation.
Allah created this Universe, that include all the dimensions and the feeling and knowledge. At the same time Allah is fair to all of us . Thus he allows all of us to explore the nature of his creation. Allah is fair to all mankind and whoever pursuits for that particular knowledge will acquire, if Allah allow them to do so.
Intention is the most important part of a Scientific Research and exploration. The more the person knows and if he is sincere in his intention, he will certainly realize that his acquired knowledge is nothing when compare to the complexity of the creation of this Universe . If the person is devoid of arrogance in his heart, he will immediately become the believer of the Creator of this Universe.
I do not wish to write in detail about what are the sexual acts against the nature. Islam allows mankind to enjoy the healthy sex life, at the same time for those who transgress the law of Allah, such as Zena (Adultery), homosexuality and abnormal sexual acts, the punishment is severe.
The following news today is from BBC science. The finding suggests that those who performed Oral Sex, have higher chance (nine times higher than normal people) of having Cancer of Throat. The reason is due to the infection of Human Papilloma Virus ( HPV), that causes the Cancer of Cervix in women.

Even before the research paper came out, most of the physicians are seeing more and more strange infections of the mouth and throat during the last few decades among sexually active age group. Among them are fungal infections of throats and atypical infections that have never been seen as throat infections before, are becoming the common infection nowadays.

My purpose of writing this post is not about the epidemiology of these infections, but about the Law of Allah versus man made law.
Law of Allah is from the book called the Holy Quran. Some people criticize Islam for the verses that explained in detail about the taboo subjects such as sex and menstruation. And Allah clearly explained all of us what we can do and what we can not do.
After understating these verses and if people do what is against the teaching of Allah, they will become the transgressors. For these people there will be punishments. But these punishments are indeed to protect the mankind from both social illness and physical illness like I have mentioned above.
Islam is the religion that teaches all mankind about decency, morality, and modesty.
Even, the sensitive subjects such as protection of private parts, and about menstruation are not left to be interpreted by the people themselves .
There is a guidance for the people who pay heed of the warning that is in the revelation from Allah (SWT).
Allah created mankind and he knows the requirements of his servants. Reproduction is the important function of all the living beings. Without reproduction, there will be no life on this earth.
At the same time it does not mean that the pleasure while doing the reproductive function is not without limitation. Islam clearly defines the Law regarding with this matter, and if a person reads and understands and follow the guidance of Al Quran, he will never face this kind of diseases.
However, when people transgress the Divine Law, they will always face troubles.
Man made laws will change with time; however Laws of Allah will be relevant to the mankind until the Day of Judgment.
Since last few days, people of this planet earth were jolted by the news of the out break of ” Swine Flu”. According to the wire news, the original clusters of out break started in Mexico. It seems that the “Swine Flu” virus has mutated pretty fast to be able to spread among the human.
There are more than enough information about “Swine Flu” in the media. But so little was mentioned about prohibition of eating pork among the religions.

It is commonly known that Muslims, Jews, and some Christians do not eat pork. In the Bible (King James Version), one can read,
And the swine, though it has a split hoof completely divided, yet it chews not the cud; it is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall you not eat, and their carcass shall you not touch; they are unclean to you. (Leviticus 11:7–8)
And among other verses in the Qur’an addressing the issue, we read,
[He (Allah) has only forbidden you dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which any other name has been invoked besides that of Allah. But if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience or transgression of due limits, then he is guiltless. For Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.] (Al-Baqarah 2:173)

The Holy Quran clearly stated that pork is forbidden for the Muslims. Holy Quran was revealed 1400 years ago, and the Bible and Torah also mentioned the swine as filthy and unhygienic animal.
In the Holy Quran, Allah says
“Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked a name other than that of Allah.” (Al-Ma’idah: 3)
the Bible prohibits the consumption of pork,
in the book of Leviticus: “…and the swine, as he divideth the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you.”
Pork is also prohibited in the book of Deuteronomy: “And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.” (Deuteronomy chapter 14 verse )
Swine were used as garbage cleaner until last 50 years ago in the most part of the world as, the animal like to eat all sort of garbage. Spreading worms to human is a well known problem however there are numerous diseases spread due to consumption of pork. These facts are unknown to layperson as Pig Breeding is a Multi billion dollar business and all the news that related to swine diseases were never been publicized.

The name “swine flu” is a slight misnomer as it is believed pigs acted as a mixing pot for several flu strains, containing genetic material from pigs, birds and humans. Most humans have never been exposed to some of the antigens involved in the new strain of flu, giving it the potential to cause a pandemic.
The new virus has made the jump from pigs to humans and has demonstrated it can also pass from human to human. This is why it is demanding so much attention from health authorities. The virus passes from human to human like other types of flu, either through coughing, sneezing, or by touching infected surfaces, although little is known about how the virus acts on humans.
My point in this post is Muslims were subject to abuse by using pork in Muslim minority countries (teasing by friends, to insult the religion). We were asked by our friends why we are avoiding one of the most delicious meat of this world.
Our answer is we follow the guideline of the Holy Quran.As I have explained in the post Abnormal Sexual Behavior and its punishments,that Law of Allah is to protect the mankind from these types of diseases.
Scientists will be searching for the cause and effects and its proof, but the more they find the more they will realize that Allah’s guidelines in the Holy Quran is always correct and perfect until the Day of Judgment.
This is the time that all of us are threatened by the danger of Swine Flu outbreak and pandemic.There are always the signs and lessons to be learned from the past history of the great nations and its disastrous downfall.

It was destroyed by the eruption of a volcano called Mt Vesuvius. Estimated 20,000 people were buried alive under the ash, molten rocks and larvae of Mt Vesuvius, which started erupting on the August 24th 79AD.
There were arguments about the life style and social illness of the people of Pompeii. I have found the following part of the history from Wikepedia . I feel that part is worth for sharing with the readers;
“Some have theorized that Fontana found some of the famous erotic frescoes and, due to the strict modesty prevalent during his time, reburied them in an attempt at archaeological censorship. This view is bolstered by reports of later excavators who felt that sites they were working on had already been visited and reburied. Even many recovered household items had a sexual theme. The ubiquity of such imagery and items indicates that the sexual mores of the ancient Roman culture of the time were much more liberal than most present-day cultures, although much of what might seem to us to be erotic imagery (eg oversized phalluses) was in fact fertility-imagery. This clash of cultures led to an unknown number of discoveries being hidden away again. A wall fresco which depicted Priapus, the ancient god of sex and fertility, with his extremely enlarged penis, was covered with plaster, even the older reproduction below was locked away “out of prudishness” and only opened on request and only rediscovered in 1998 due to rainfall [21].

Above paragraphs clearly demonstrate that there were some attempts to hide and rewrite the real nature and history of the people of Pompeii by Archeologists and Rulers.
The purpose of writing this post is to learn the lesson that as an individual or a society when people have transgress the Divine Law of Allah, there will be the punishment for them both in this world and in hereafter.
Holy Quran is the Divine revelation from the Creator Allah (SWT) to the mankind.
It was originally revealed in Arabic to Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). The Holy Quran has been translated into several languages including Burmese or Myanmar language.
So far, the standard translation accepted by the Burmese Muslim Organizations and Burmese Muslims, is the work of the Holy Quran Translation Board of Burma. It was published in three volumes from 1977 until 1980. It was direct translation work from Arabic to Burmese language. The chief translators were the late Mufassirul Quran Allahmah Ghazi Muhammed Hashim and late Maulana Masquad Ahmad Khan.
The Holy Quran translation work is not for the person who is without proper scholarly background both in Arabic and in Burmese language. There must be a Board to supervise the translation work. And the board should be formed with the Ulama who are well respected and accepted by the Burmese Muslim Community.
Recently I have found a person or group of people trying to translate the Holy Quran into Burmese language. Even, the partially translated Quran into Burmese language, according to their version is already available on Internet. However, the background history, qualification of the translator or translators and their experience is nowhere to be found to check the authenticity of the translation.
I hope Burmese Muslim youths who wish to read the Holy Quran translation in Burmese should check with the relevant Islamic Organizations in Burma to verify the authenticity before reading to understand its real meaning.

This is the third Mosque which was demolished by the DKBA, a splinter Buddhist Karen group closely associated with the Military Junta of Myanmar. A Destroyed Mosque in Kha Law Thaw Village
The Mosque, which was more than hundred years old, was completely demolished on 2.5.2009,7:15 AM, by a group of more than fifty people led by ten armed DKBA soldiers, in Ka Tine Ki Village, which is in the township of Pharpun, in the Karen State of Myanmar.
The last and frantic appeal by the various Muslim Originations to prevent the demolishing order given by DKBA Spiritual Leader, Abbot U Thuzana of Myaing Gyi Ngu, met with the deaf ears from the Myanmar Military Junta or SPDC.
The appeal letter to Senior General Than Shwe
Abbot U Thuzana ,allegedly had a dream that there was an old pagoda underneath the Mosque. Subsequently he had given an order to demolish the Mosque to local DKBA armed group.
Later all the Muslim groups desperately turned to the regional commander, General Zaw Min to prevent the destruction. General Zaw Min only replied that “If the Abbot wants it to be destroyed, let him do it, and we will find a new piece of land for the Mosque later”.
Local village head, Aung Myo also reminded the Muslim villagers about their shaky minority status and safety, just one day before the destruction.
This is the third Mosque destroyed by order of the DKBA Spiritual Leader, Abbot U Thuzana. The previous Mosques destroyed by his orders were at Nabu Village and Tha Khut Phoe Village.
Karens are one of the most friendly ethnic groups of Myanmar. Previously, there were no discrimination against Muslims in the Karen State until DKBA became powerful while Christian dominated KNU became weak in recent months due to systemetic onslaught of Military Junta and DKBA troups.
During a last couple of days I have decided to stop writing the posts. Instead I did read and listen more.
I have read a very interesting book that I intend to share with the blog readers in the future posts. Audio lectures of Dr Zakir Naik were wonderful. I have listened most of them while driving two hours a day to and fro journey to work.

Islam is the religion that all of us need to understand its teaching through the “Holy Quran”.
The differences between the Holy Quran and other Holy Scriptures are,
The Prophets before the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brought the scriptures for the particular period of time for the particular groups or tribes of people and lost its authenticity.
The Holy Quran is for all mankind. It is the last and complete Divine Revelation for the mankind until the Day of Judgment. Relevant to the all mankind of any period.
The Holy Quran taught the mankind, the Law of Allah, and also shows the ways to implement into our daily life. Whereas in other Holy Scriptures there are Laws of the God but no clear guidance of implementation.
Dr Zakir Naik pointed out the important fact as most of the ordinary people of different faiths neither read nor study their religions properly before they decided to jump into the discussions. Muslims also do not read the Holy Quran to understand its real meaning to implement into our daily life.
Some of the Muslims from our home country hold the opinion that the Holy Quran is not for us to read and interpret. They claimed that if it is allowed, people may interpret the Holy Quran wrongly according to their own understanding.
In other words the reading and understanding of the Holy Quran, according to their opinion, should be through the teaching of Ulama, or Islamic Scholars.
I partially agree with them. It is very important for all the Muslims to learn Arabic Quran properly under the guidance of Islamic Scholars. At the same time all the Muslims have the absolute right to try to read and understand the teaching of Holy Quran in their own capacity in the language that they understand.
The first Surah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad starts with the words, “Read”. Allah wants all mankind to read His guidebook, the Holy Quran. However, there should be a systematic approach to it and one must understand his own limitation.
But if we approach the Holy Quran with sincerity, Allah, SWT, will open our hearts and make us understand His Divine revelation as He promised.
Today BBC News reported about, a Somali Shariah Court ordered to cut the right hand of Mohamad Omar Ismail for stealing 10 pairs of trousers, 10 shirts, 8 other items and a bag. The value of all the items are estimated to be $90.
“The official quoted a chapter from the Koran known as Surah Maida, verse 38, which is about stealing and relevant punishment. He said that the verse decreed that punishment for stealing was that the right hand of the thief should be cut off. “
Then the news carried on with horrific scene of amputation as “bloody hand dangled”.
What message the above BBC news convey to the readers?
Islam and the Law of Allah will be seen negative by both non Muslims and some Muslims who do not understand well about their faith.
Read the following Hadith about cutting the relationship and its punishment
The Swift Punishment for Transgression and Cutting the Relations of the Womb
(There is no sin that is more worthy of Allah hastening its punishment in this life, in addition to what He has in store for its offender in the Hereafter, more than transgression and cutting the relations of the womb.) The act of Qabil included both of these. We are Allah’s and to Him is our return.
Above Hadith says Islam does not allow the cutting the relationship with the blood relatives, forget about cutting the parts of our own Muslim brothers physically.
For the Non Muslims readers, who are not familiar with the Holy Quran, I would like all of you to read few verses of Surah Al Maidah, and its translation before the mentioned Vesre 38.
(32. Because of that, We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with Al-Bayyinat, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits in the land!) from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.)
Above verse clearly stated that killing an innocent person would be as if he killed all mankind. Islam view point about killing an innocent person is a major sin, so why the same religion will preach to do injustice to somebody who is poor, and defenseless.?

كَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً]
(it would be as if he killed all mankind. .) means, “Whoever kills one soul that Allah has forbidden killing, is just like he who kills all mankind.” Sa`id bin Jubayr said, “He who allows himself to shed the blood of a Muslim, is like he who allows shedding the blood of all people. He who forbids shedding the blood of one Muslim, is like he who forbids shedding the blood of all people.” In addition, Ibn Jurayj said that Al-A`raj said that Mujahid commented on the Ayah,
(and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.) means, “He who does not kill anyone, then the lives of people are safe from him.”
And the Verse 38 mentioned in BBC news should be read with the next Verse 39 together,
(38. And (as for) the male thief and the female thief, cut off their hands as a recompense for that which both committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.)
(39. But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds, then verily, Allah will pardon him. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.)
Allah SWT clearly says that those who repents after his crime and does good deed to be pardoned.
Somalia is the country without Law and Order. People are poor and uneducated. The society is in chaos. In short, Somalia is far from reaching the status of Islamic State where Islamic Shriah Law applied according to the true teaching of Islam. That event should not be taken as executing the proper Islamic Law.
How is the welfare system runs in an Islamic State ?
Zakāh or “alms for the poor” is the Islamic principle of giving a percentage of one’s income to charity. It serves principally as the welfare contribution to poor and deprived people in the Muslim lands, although others may have a rightful share.
It is the duty of the Islamic state not just to collect Zakat, but to distribute it fairly as well.
It is an obligation on Muslims to pay 1/40 (2.5%) of the wealth which they have had for a full lunar year 1/40 (2.5%) of goods used for trade, and 5% or 10% of certain type of harvests depending on irrigation.
In Somalia do they have this type of welfare system to distribute money? Definitely not. That is the reasons during a last few months, there are so many cargo ships were attacked in the Gulf of Eden by the pirates from Somalia as they are desperate to survive in the Lawless country. These pirates activities clearly highlighted Somalia as a Lawless Country.
If Somali is a genuine Islamic State, where all the rich people pay the poor due, there will be no reason to see this kind of petty theft case. Even the person is caught; he will have a chance to repent by doing good deeds as Allah SWT clearly stated in His Holy Book.
The sad thing is, most people from the developed countries are ignorant about the big Ali Ba Ba who stole trillions of US Dollar from their pocket from the activity called “profit taking” from the stock and share market. The current economic crisis of this world is due to Reba or taking of interest which prohibits in Islam.
Multiplying money in the way of gambling (game of chance) is also prohibited and now only the US and the West is trying to curb this type of Ali Ba Ba in a very vague plan called G20 plan, emerged from the London Summit on 2nd April 2009.
Islam is the perfect religion with Divine rules of law and also with the way to implement it. I would like to see what type of punishment would be appropriate for the Ali Ba Ba of 21st Century with the man made Civil Law.
The scene of Unity among the people of different faiths
Burmese refugees of different faiths were united in the Prayer for the freedom of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, in Onn Pyant Refugee camp in Thailand on 24th of May 2009.
Led by Abbot U Thu Min Ga La, about five hundred people attended the prayer service and candle light vigil for the freedom of detained pro democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
Religious leaders of Islam and Christians took turn to lead the prayer service that started around 4.00 pm in the remote refugee camp inside Thailand near the border with Military ruled Burma.
Later, Abbot U Thu Min Ga La said, “We are proud to organize this event that brings the people of the different faiths together”. Abbot also said his gratitude to other religious leaders for joining hand together, as an event that demonstrated a good example of unity, for the future democratic Burma.
Later veteran political prisoner Thi Ha read the Onn Pyant Prayer service declaration.

Sajdah Tilawat is the Sajdah that one has to perform as an obligatory duty when one reads, recites, or hears, in the prayer or outside, some specific verses containing those words from the Holy Quran.
Q. 1) If the Ayat of Sajjda is heard while listening to Tape/Radio, is it necessary to perform the Sajjda Tilawat?
A. 1) If the Aayat of Sajdah is heard on tape recorder or played on radio, Sajda Tilaawat is not necessary. If the recitation is live on Radio, Sajda Tilawat is necessary.
Q. 2) During the month of Ramadan the mosque speakers are used in the Taraweeh. The voice is also heard outside the mosque. As the whole Quran is recited in the Taraweeh and obviously Ayaat of Sajjda are also recited. Now a person sitting at his home hears those Ayaat, is he going to perform those Sajjda Tilawat?
A. 2) Yes.
Q. 3) What is the correct way to do Sajda Tilawat? Do we need to say Takbir and give salam to both sides like in salat?
A.) Sajda-e-Tilawat is simply to make sajda by saying Allahu-Akbar, going into sajda, and reciting three times ‘Subhaana rabbi-al a’alaa’. There is no need to stand or even raise the hands, as one would do when commencing Salat. There is also no salam on any side after making the sajda. And Allah Knows Best.
Following verse of the Holy Quranis among the fifteen other verses of the Holy Quran that a Muslim need to do an obligatory prostration known as Sajda E Tilawat, immediately after the recitation or upon hearing the recitation of the verse.
Surah22 Verse 18 says
See you not that whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth,and the sun,and the moon,and the stars,and the mountains and the trees, and Ad-Dawaab [moving (living) creatures , beasts],many of mankind prostrate themselves to Allah. But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allah disgrace, none can honor him. Verily Allah does what He wills.

All of us were impressed by the advanced technology and the skill of NASA space shuttle crews on the latest flight that was to rescue the ailing Hubble Space Telescope.
But to me, looking at these photos reminds me the Power of the Creator Allah SWT, and His Mercy to all of us in this universe.
Hubble Space Telescope was launched in 1990. In less than two decades the man made telescope need a major repair. But all of us forget the fact that the planet Earth that we are living in together with the Solar System were running in their orbits for 4.5 billion years without a single minor repair job required.
But the day of judgment will arrive on the appointed time for all of us and the Universe will be transformed into a dimension that is beyond our comprehension. Holy Quran clearly stated that is the day that we all have to pay back according to our deeds.
May Allah bless all of us with the knowledge to become the good Muslims who will bring peace and love among all of us.
75- So, I swear by the place where the stars fall.
76- And that is indeed a mighty oath, if you but knew.
The expression “place where… fall” (mawqi) also mentioned in the sura, The Cave (Kehf), verse 53, means the place where the sinners fall, i.e., hell.
