Riots and destruction of Masjids

Anti Muslim Riots were not uncommon in Burma. Following photos were taken during an anti Muslims riot in Pegu.

Normally, Buddhists Monks do not participate in these kind of Riots. Those who were with the Monk’s robes were instigators from Military Intelligence disguised as Buddhists Monks.

    I was searching about Islam in Yunnan when I’ve come accross your blog. This is the first time I see pictures of anything islamic in Burma and I’m saddened by these attacks on the mosques. Could you please elaborate a bit more about these attacks?
    I’m muslim, been living in China for many years and would love to visit our brothers in Burma insh’Allah.
