Women in Islam; about their Dress Code and Conducts

kayahladies1See all these above photos and guess what? Are they Muslim women? None of them are Muslims. The top photos are of the Orthodox Christian Nuns.

The last two photos are the women of Palaung ,Kayar tribes of Myanmar. They are not Muslims too.

The unique thing about all these photos  is that all of them covered their body parts properly.

Covering their body parts is the Universal Norm for all the civilized women of all faiths since ancient time.

With the secularization of politics and western materialists’ value started infiltrating to the all civilized societies of this earth, people are being told that removing your clothes is OK. Even they are told by the materialists that(revealing body parts) is a person’s right. More and more women are removing their coverings and became more and more revealing their beautiful body parts everyday, believing that they are more advance people than those who decide to protect their body parts.

But they are not aware of the fact that their dignity has been sold out with a little price for the lust of other people. Their dignity has been sold out as a commodity for promotion of business to lucrative flesh trade to the human traffickers.

Do you think revealing the women’s body part is the right thing to do?

The value, dignity, pride, honor are not only for these women, but also for their fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and for the societies that these women belong to.

Recently in Australia, local authorities tried to ban the topless sun bather in a beach. Immediately, all the women right groups rejected that proposal as discrimination against women’s right. In reality, they (the women) are deceived by the materialists teaching that they have full authority on their body.

There are wide spread circulation of so called celebrities’ revealing photos in Internet. Some are for sale. Some are to be viewed free or after payment. There are trades in the expense of women’s dignity everywhere. From the magazine covers to the car advertisements, beautiful young ladies with their body parts exposed are widely used to attract the customers. These poor women do not realize that their bodies have been used like the manner of slave girls for the financial gains.

High school students started distributing their lover’s photos through mms. Couples having intimate relationship recorded their acts and distribute, black mail, or whatever.

Do you wish these women to be your sisters, and daughters?

Islam is very clear in dressing code and conduct for the women.

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornments except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress , faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband’s fathers, their son’s, their husband’s sons, their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sisters sons or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And beg Allah to forgive you all O believers, that you may be successful”. “Holy Quran Surah 24:31”

There are terms and a condition of dressing code and conducts for all the civilized societies, depending on the climate, preference of color, but mostly based on the culture. However, culture is not a Divine Law that is why western civilization believes that removing their clothes is all right, and then everybody started removing their clothes without shame. People tend to abandon cultural believe due to pressure, influence, ignorance or arrogance.

Hence if it is due to faith, there is no way that people can abandon the Divine teaching unless he or she renounces the religion.

That is the reason why worldwide Muslim women are facing the brunt of criticism as backward by the so called more advanced people of western world. But they keep on staying according to the Divine revelation as they are fully aware of the fact that the dress code is not discrimination against them, but to protect their faith, dignity, and honor.

Allah knows the best.
